What is Oxycodone  ??Oxycodone is a semi-synthetic opoid agonist derived from thebaine, a constituent of opium.

Oxycodone is a Schedule II narcotic analgesic and is widely used in clinical medicine. 

The pharmacology of OXY is similar to that of morphine, in all respects including abuse  and dependence liabilities.  Pharmacological effects include analgesia, euphoria, feelings of relaxation, respiratory depression, constipation, papillarry constriction and cough suppression.

Prescribed for the relief of moderate to high pain  under pharmaceutical trade names  Percodan®  OxyContin®, OxyIR®, OxyFast® and Percocel® that are in combination with  other nonnarcotic analgesics.

Oxycodone behavioral - affects can last up to 5 hours with the controlled release product OXYContin, having a  longer duration of action 8-12 hours.
 The OXY assay contained within the First Sign One Step Drug of Abuse Test yields a positive result when the concentration of OxyCodone in urine exceeds 100ng/mL

1.   Collect specimen from donor
2.   Insert test into specimen

4.  2 lines = negative  / 1 line = non-negative


Reading Results:

• Negative results can be read as soon as lines appear  (two lines)
• Read non-negatives at 5 minutes (one line)
