Platinum Electrochemical Fuel Cell Sensor / Accuracy
By using a long-term stability, platinum electrochemical sensor (the standard in police issued breath testers) to measure the concentration of alcohol from the sample (1L) of breath from a donor, a corresponding voltage is generated from the fuel cell, which is directly proportional to the alcohol content of the sample provided.
With the electrochemical fuel cell having such a high specificity to alcohol, the unit is not influenced by acetone or other breath substances. The long-term stability of the fuel-cell sensor means you can count on accurate results year after year.
Passive and Non-Passive Operational Modes
The AlcoVUE® offers both quantitative (direct sample- requires 1L of breath) and qualitative (passive) sampling. It can display the breath alcohol reading in any of the commonly used units of measurement eg mg/L, % BAC, BrAC mg/100ml, mg/ml etc, or a simple pass / fail mode for zero-tolerance environments.
Australian Standards AS 3547-1997 Certified
The AlcoVUE® is a complete preliminary alcohol testing solution for commercial and law enforcement applications and holds a valid Product Certification Schedule for compliance with AS 3547-1997.

The AlcoVUE® is fully configurable for any industrial, commercial or law enforcement application.
It is equipped with a mouthpiece (or sample cup) ejection feature (ensuring no contact with saliva), and Blue LED light for mouthpiece insertion. A robust storage case is included for storing the device and accessories for easy transport.
Print Test Results Quickly and Easily/Bluetooth Printer Set (Optional Extra*)
The DDS-TP Bluetooth® thermal printer can be connected to the AlcoVUE® allowing for hard copy printing of test results when breath sample evidence is required. Test results can be printed either immediately direct to the printer or from the AlcoVUE® memory at a later time.
